Interview with an immigrant

The interview with Kadas

Trude, Ola and I have interviewed an immigrant and we wanted to show you what we've asked him .  The man we interviewed is named Kadas.
Why did you escape from Syria?
I want to go to a university in Norway, but i need a passport and that’s hard to get since iàm Kurd. And if I had stayed in Syria I would have to join the army.

How did you come to Norway?
At first I move to Iraq and worked with Redd Barna. Afterwards I wanted a brighter future for himself. SI travelled to Norway, because I thinks Norwegian people seem nice.

Dyou have family  and friends in your home country? Do you miss them?
Of course, And I want to meet them.

Dyou want to return back to your country later? Whywhy not?
"I don’t think so." I learns Norwegian and a lot of other things. And I have gotten a lot of friends.  It is very unlikely that I will be going back.

What is your dream for the future?
A lot of things, I want an education and to become a famous football player.

What do you like about Norwegians?
Everyone is pretty and nice.

Is there anything you could do in Syria you can`t do in Norway, like hobbies ? (Sports, others)
I didn’t have the same rights as in Norway. I couldn’t do all the things he wanted to since I am a Kurd.

Can you tell something from your own country ?
Everyone has to be careful in the streets when they walk, and not everyone gets to go to school.

STRESS

10th grade isn't the most fun year, it's all about grades, work, and just pure stress. We have enough with pressure, anxiety, and finding ourselves. We're 15/16 now and it's hard because it's in these years we're trying to find out who we want to be and such, we're constantly told to "act mature and be more adult-like" yet we're treated as if we're still kids. School is where you have to put on a smile and just do as told because if you complain you get that "we went through the same thing, you can handle it too" now see, that’s not entirely true, the school system has changed a lot. Even though we have the same books as you don’t mean we learn the same way. we got a lot of homework this week and even though we asked for more homework we didn’t mean give us all at once, and in addition to the after-school driving course, we don’t have much time. Don’t even get me started with the stress that builds up, I hate stressing because ...

Christmas holiday

C hristmas is when you spend time with family, get fat and get stuff you didn’t ask for. As you grow older you ask for more expensive gifts, new phone, new laptop,  PlayStation , or a car. When you´re little all you want  is  some cheap toys. I usually ask for money so that I can save up to the expensive thing I want because I know I won´t get it for  Christmas . But  every time I say I want money I get "but that´s so boring" well go buy me  a  car then!  You  can´t say what you really wish for because then they just say "but that´s so expensive!" Well no  shi t , that´s why I asked for money you twat.   I don’t see the problem, like  you don’t have to run around and look for a present, and then wrap it up nicely, just hand me some money and  I'll  be  grateful!
